LUA Leadership Program

In the Lua Leadership program, personal individual leadership development is fostered through education based in Native Hawaiian culture. Incorporating concepts of self-knowledge, mana, spirituality, and sense of self, the program combines traditional Native Hawaiian wisdom and modern methods. The Lua Leadership program emphasizes the ‘5 C’s of leadership’ which frame leadership around the values of character (pono), competency (makaukau), courage (koa), commitment (kupa’a), and compatibility (aloha). The Lua Leadership Program has been developed by Thomas Kaulukukui Jr., trustee of the Queen Lili’uokalani Trust.
