The purpose of Kina’ole Foundation is to educate, advance and promote economic development for the people of Hawaii with Native Hawaiians as the principal beneficiary through educational and business development activities and programs. This will be accomplished through public and private sector partnerships including, but not limited to, mentoring, training, and other innovative activities designed to access established programs of the Federal government and its agencies.
Kina’ole Foundation filed its Articles of Incorporation with the State of Hawaii on September 6, 2009 and has filed its application with the Internal Revenue Service to obtain its 501.c.3 certification.
Kina’ole Foundation was formed as a result of the vision of the
leadership at Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC (“NHV”). NHV is a Native
Hawaiian Owned, Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business (SDVOSB),
SDB, SBA 8(a) Company that provides services, solutions, and products in
the areas of Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Information
Technology, Installation and Logistic Management, and MEC (Munitions &
Explosives of Concern).
